While we support Basset Rescue in all its manifestations, there are some very special folks out there who have become our friends in the past year. We place links to their sites here in hopes that you will visit them if you are thinking about adopting a basset hound.
Not thinking about adopting? Well, go see them anyway! Sometimes they have difficult circumstances and you might be able to help. A small check, donation of a craft or skill, offering to foster a basset until a forever home can be found. Rescues are just about always operating with too many dogs and too little money!
We get email every day from folks who visit this site, and enjoy it. What fun it is to know that Bowser's story touches people all over the world!!! I'd really like to encourage everyone who has enjoyed it to send a little something along to a rescue organization -- they all need our help!
Mid America Basset Rescue! of course they top our list -- if you're interested in adopting but have no local rescue, they will arrange transport once your application has been accepted.
Cascadia Basset Rescue! our pals in the Pacific Northwest! They, too, will go to any lengths to make sure a needy basset finds the perfect home!
Arizona Basset Hound Rescue -- got any extra cash?? need some fun basset-gifts??? Go see them -- oh, and if you need a BASSET they've got lots of those, too!!!
